Entrepreneurship Development and Financial Literacy Workshop by DAJI Assam

A total of 27 men and women participated in the Entrepreneurship Development and Financial Literacy Workshop organized by DAJI Assam on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Abhayapuri, Assam. The workshop featured Dr. Deluwar Hoque, who holds an MA and Ph.D. from Gauhati University, as the resource person. Participants gained various skills and knowledge necessary to operate a small local venture, including:

  • Concept of Entrepreneurship.
  • Skills and knowledge required to start and run a small local venture.
  • Navigating Local Livelihood Sources and preparing a viable proposal for the same.
  • Strategies for channeling earnings.
  • Future Livelihood prospects that are safe and convenient.
  • A financial literacy session - including budgeting, and savings.
  • Process of securing microfinance and other funding options.
  • Importance of a supportive community environment.

Additionally, the workshop included a group activity designed to enhance self-awareness, build community trust, and develop decision-making and problem-solving skills.
