A total of thirty-one men and women participated in a workshop on "Increasing Access to Social Protection Schemes for Vulnerable People" on December 2, 2024, at Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon district, Assam. The participants gained valuable insights into various government schemes and the application processes associated with them. Key speakers, including government official Affan Khan, Assistant Megistrate of co-district commissioner office, Abhayapuri, Shri Abdul Baten Khandakar, the MLA of Abhayapuri North, Bhupen Ray, BRP Srijangram Educational Block and subject matter expert Mizanur Rahman provided information on topics such as education, agriculture, and other critical schemes. The workshop also emphasized the importance of empathy, effective communication, and stress management techniques for social workers. At the end of the workshop, participants received certificates of participation and expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations. DAJI plans to hold this workshop annually to further enhance the well-being of marginalized communities.
