The Development and Justice Initiative (DAJI) organized a Capacity Building and Peer Learning Workshop for Community-Based Volunteers at Rangapani Community Hall in the Rangapani Bazaar area on 19 August 2026, bringing together around 20 community-based volunteers for technical sessions led by resource persons Gazibar Rahman, Assistant Professor, Manikpur Anchalik College; Abdul Jalil Ahmed, Director, Jubayer Masud Educational and Charitable Trust; and Joysri Choudhury, Teacher and PLV, DLSA Bongaigaon on relevant aspects of social work, field-level implementation and community engagement.
The workshop featured open discussions on real-world challenges, a role-play highlighting the importance of communication, empathy, confidentiality and ethical boundaries and an interactive flip-chart activity introducing community and social mapping, encouraging teamwork, peer learning and practical problem-solving to strengthen volunteers’ capacity for effective grassroots engagement
